Census 2011 - First Release

The first release of the Census 2011 was today.

Population by gender and five year age bands and the number of households in each authority has been published by the Office for National Statistics.

For Nottingham City, these show that the population is now 305,700 people. This is an increase of 38,700 (14.5%) since the last Census in 2001
