One Nottingham - One Plan, The Community Plan 2006 -09 The Community Plan sets out how One Nottingham, the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) in Nottingham will reduce crime, improve the health, education and skills of local people by bringing together the public, private, community and voluntary sectors based in Nottingham, ensuring that every one living or working in the city has the chance to have their say about its future. Objectives: Improve attainment of children in low achieving groups, not least by pre-school and school intervention. Attack drug-related crime and its causes. Build in Employability, creating bridges from deprived communities to employment opportunities, customised training, and encouraging enterprise across all sectors. Develop local leadership for example building towards a Neighbourhood Watch in every area of Nottingham. Promote Social behaviour, as a compliment to tackling Anti-Social Behaviour, for example, through pre-parenting programmes for all (to address large-scale teenage pregnancy) and multi-agency help to key families before problems arise not after. A range of lifestyle changes, to attack low life expectancy, including smoking cessation and drug misuse. One Nottingham Partnership 01-05-2006
