City Key Strategies

Nottingham's strategies

A joined up approach to planning and delivery is vital to provide Nottingham residents with excellent services. An important part of achieving this is easy access to the key strategies of Nottingham City Council and its partners, and a shared understanding of national policy developments which will impact on public services now and in the future. The Policy Resource aims to bring local strategies and policy briefings together in one place.

Local strategies

Nottingham City Council and its partners are responsible for producing a range of strategies, to communicate their main priorities and targets.

Over-arching strategies

The headline, usually partnership strategies which set the strategic direction for the city.

Other strategies and plans

The more issue-specific strategies and detailed plans developed to deliver local priorities.

We have endeavoured to capture as many strategies as possible, but if you consider that your main strategy has been omitted please email feedback@nottinghaminsight.org.uk.

Policy communications

Nottingham City Council co-ordinates the development of policy briefings to City Council members, officers and partners about current national policy developments. They are based on publically available sources, and do not constitute local policy.

Policy Digests

Monthly round-ups of the latest local government news and developments, national consultations being conducted, and where possible forthcoming issues.

Policy Alerts

Summaries of specific national policy developments which affect local government. These are normally issued shortly after key central government announcements, and include the possible implications for Nottingham.

City bulletins

Summaries of specific local issues and developments.
