Description
Domestic violence and abuse is defined as any incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive or threatening behaviour, violence or abuse between those aged 16 or over who are, or have been, intimate partners or family members regardless of gender or sexuality. This includes, but is not limited to psychological, physical, sexual, financial and emotional abuse. The definition includes so called 'honour based' violence, female genital mutilation (FGM) and forced marriage. Sexual violence is defined as any sexual act, attempted sexual act, unwanted sexual comments or advances, acts to traffic, or acts directed against a person's sexuality using coercion by any person regardless of their relationship to the victim. This includes but is not limited to acts committed at home or work, sexual assault, rape, sexual coercion and sexual bullying.

This Health Needs Assessment brings into focus the health and wellbeing needs of people who are homeless and directly draws on the experiences of over 349 homeless people from across Nottinghamshire.
